On behalf of the family I want to think all of you at ABC who helped us during our cousin’s illness. They said that they have had other patients who were not as fortunate.

"Beatrice offered so much in her kind and caring and very patient way. She was always positive and had a smile that would light up a room. She encouraged Mom without ever pushing her beyond her limits, and she always took appropriate action to contact the family with any questions or concerns. Honestly, when Beatrice left just after Thanksgiving, it seemed her kindness and spirit could not be replaced - and I do believe my Mom's more rapid decline coincided with the absence of Beatrice. We feel very fortunate that she was Mom's live-in PCA for as long as she was. Any family who might be fortunate enough to have Beatrice caring for their loved one would immensely appreciate what she could bring to the home. Because this is your business, Jeannette, you know full well that when a family needs to secure the services of 24/7 live-in PCAs, the health of the loved one is already compromised. But having said that, my Mom did expressly indicate her desire to be at home - even though her limited mobility was not the life she was accustomed to. Beatrice made this less-than-ideal situation more than tolerable for my Mom, I believe."
